I am a third-generation farmer from Prince Alfred Hamlet, having completed my studies in M. Sc Agric at the University of Stellenbosch. Growing up in the heart of the Cape Winelands on a wine grape and stone fruit farm, farming was ingrained in my future. I proverbially “passed through the ranks," from being taught by farm staff to eventually furthering my studies in the agricultural sector, completing a Master’s degree.
Farming in general is a passion of mine, with beekeeping being a keen interest as a hobby. As I know all the facets of farming, I am able to give producers an honest opinion on day-to-day farming practices. My natural environment is on the farms, in the orchards, in the sun, connecting with growers.
